Sheikh Saadi Sheikh Saadi |Sheikh Saadi Ke Hekyat | Sheik Saddi ke Nasiyat|Hikayet e Saadi
Once upon a time a few Sufis took a loan from a usurer, but weren't able to pay back the debt in time. The usurer would daily demand his loan, and would degrade Sufis in the most disgraceful way possible. The Sufis, indebted to the usurer, couldn’t do anything thus remained silent.
A wise man who noticed these Sufis dealing with this trouble told them that had they denied their desires as they were denying the usurer, they wouldn’t be dealing with this problem.
Sheikh saadi has condemned taking loan in this context and has put forth a simple and perfect solution. Like an indebted person stays silent upon the demands of usurers, and endures their sour words – if they remain silent upon the demands of their desires, and do not fall prey to their urges, they would save themselves from a lot of trouble.
